Will started a position in summer 2022 as a weather officer in the US Air Force. He has done a pretty good job of keeping me up-to-date on things, but I have done a bad job of relating that on this webpage. The last email update I have from him is from 2023, but we text and/or call sporadically on a number of other topics.

In the 2023 update, Will mentioned that he is a Weather and Environmental Science Officer (WESO) who coordinates with pilots across the Pacific and giving them weather briefs. His squadron is also responsible for issuing all weather watches, warnings, and advisories for over 50 bases across the Pacific. In 2023 he was the senior duty officer of the 10 person weather team, keeping Will responsible for pretty much every military flight in the Pacific as well as issuing weather warnings for all milatary installations in their area of operation.

My most recent text update of significance indicated that Will is still doing Air Force weather. Right about now he is slated to move back from Iorea to Hawaii. He also started an online masters in Data Analytics from the Air Force Institute of Technology in January.
