Maria was a high school student when working in my lab. Our schedules didn't mesh very well and -- given her high school schedule -- I wasn't able to give her the same degree of mentorship I would have liked to. That being said, I remain hopeful that she gained some modest benefit out of the experience.

Since leaving high school, Maria has enrolled at Wellesley College as a Chemical Physics major and this past summer seems to have completed an internship at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in Palo Alto.
